Taking an afternoon nap! He looked so adorable I had to take a few pictures of him!!
Oh I love our sweet little sleeping baby boy! (Isn’t he just precious in his cloth diaper?)
We also tried on a few outfits to see what he will be able to wear this fall. I loved these sweet little corduroy overalls!
The shirt and the overalls coordinate however I don’t think we’ll be rolling the legs up since it’ll be a little while before it’s cool enough to wear these and they’re already a little short!
We had a lovely day! We both slept until after 8 and then Paxton ate, I love our early morning snuggles! After I ate breakfast we headed to town to get a few groceries. We had a wonderful trip to Kroger and Aldi (no unhappy baby or blowouts)! I wore him in my Peanut Shell sling and he was a happy baby!
We also did laundry! I have a really cute laundry helper!
He enjoyed hanging out on the clean clothes!
He laid on the bed and watched me fold, it wasn’t long before he was unfolding them for me!
While I was ironing, I looked over to see him playing with his jammies!
Nothing like snuggling with jammies and sucking a thumb! (He slept until I finished my ironing and then was ready to eat!)
Modeling his new little outfit from his grandmother! So cute!!
He’s such a happy baby!
Hanging out in the big chair!
I had a good day with him by myself but he really didn’t want to be left alone, he likes to see me at all times! Thank goodness for my Moby Wrap, his Bumbo and my arms (which are getting stronger and stronger from carrying around our big boy!)
We’re back! After 4 days of visiting family and 2 days of recovering from our trip, we’re getting back in the swing of things! This little man had a little too much love and has been very clingy, I couldn’t hardly leave him Friday and Saturday. Thankfully today he was better, he just wanted somebody giving him attention!
After church Paxton took a long nap and then we put him back in his cloth diapers and that’s all he wore the rest of the day! Notice his “play mat”? His daddy likes to let him be “free” which today meant a loose fitting Gerber prefold which he soaked and his play mat along with it! I’m thankful it’s washable! It’s currently drying so it’ll be ready for tomorrow!
He’s becoming more interactive with his toys. He especially likes his new teether from his Aunt Loretta! It’s bright and has hard and soft beads to chew!
Chomping down! He’s so cute when he chews it!
Living the good life!
Hopefully I’ll post regularly this week (for you wonderful grandparents!) Just know when I’m not posting frequently I’m either really busy, taking an online break or enjoying quality family time!
We may not be wealthy by world’s standards but we’re wealthy when it comes to family! We’ve been so blessed with our little man and life is just wonderful! Here’s a glimpse of our day.
Ready to go out to the mailbox! Paxton’s wrapped up snugly in a Lotus Hold in our Moby Wrap! I just love this wrap, it is so comfotable!
What do you think, do we look alike? There was no denying he looked like his daddy when he was born but lately more and more people are commenting that he looks like me! He undoubtably has my reddish brown hair!
Silly mama and baby! I love his chubby cheeks and double chin and little smile!!
We had a fabulous trip to the mailbox! The walk was very nice, it was warm but not too hot! And we had a package, a new Comfy Rumps diaper that I’ll be reviewing soon on Frugal & Simple Living! (New cloth diapers always make mama happy…cloth diapering is so much fun!!)
After our walk we played a little and read a few books in the nursery!
I suppose he’s such a big boy now that he no longer needs mama to rock him!
I’ve found our Bumbo makes an excellent little prop!
I love this picture! Notice his fuzzy hair…love it!!!
After a little bit of playing, it was time to eat, he was hungry (you’d think the kid never ate the way he fusses when he remembers he needs to eat!)
Before we knew it daddy was home!!
I caught these two watching a show on the iPad! Doesn’t Paxton look like such a big boy?
Look at this kid! (It’s so hard to believe that just 4 months ago he was a teeny tiny sleepy newborn and now he’s almost sitting up by himself!)
Then we ate dinner and enjoyed a few of our favorite TV shows while Paxton ate and fell asleep in my arms, I love holding my sweet sleeping babe!
Tuesday morning he was on his side when I went to greet him in the morning!
I love how relaxed he was! He is always so happy in the mornings (that is until I touch him and he suddenly remembers he is absolutely starving!)
Last night John David held him and he fell asleep in his arms! Precious! I do believe holding your sleeping child is one of the most wonderful things!
So sweet! Lately I’ve been sad about how fast he is growing (which he is!) but he is still so little, he looks really small in his daddy’s arms!
He wasn’t quite asleep, just completely comfy snuggling with Daddy!
Today we reached a big milestone…he mastered the roll! And you know what, it wasn’t captured on film nor was it even witnessed by his parents! I was working when he rolled over!!! Still it was quite exciting, I immediately called John David to celebrate when I discovered our babe on his tummy! (We have seen him roll on our bed and with a little help but he has not yet rolled on the ground…my life is slowly changing as he becomes increasingly mobile!)
After church tonight! We coordinated in green!
He’s kissing mama! (Not really but it looks that way!)
I love this sweet little boy!
So now Paxton is sleeping and I’m tired! Ready to go climb into bed, glad the sheets are clean, a little sad they’re damp (there aren’t but so many hours in a day and laundry comes second at times…)
