Paxton is now 4 months old! We’ve had our precious bundle of joy for 1/3 of a year! Wow!
This month’s milestones:
Paxton’s pictures from past months:
When Daddy Dresses Me
by: Paxton
When Daddy dresses me, I look like a man! I wear cool tractor shirts, blue jeans and even get to wear my camo bib (much better than the baby blue cottony stuff mama prefers, although I do admit it is very comfortable!)
When dressed like a man, one must act like a man…no grinning for your silly mama!
Until she says pretty please and reminds me that she is the one who feeds me!
Don’t laugh…I know my grin is cheesy but I’m cute and no, I’m not watching what I eat nor am I exercising. I do think I need to start moving around more, people are beginning to refer to me as chunky and pudgy and solid!
She caught me off guard here, thus the silly face!
Laughing for mama! (I think she really likes it!)
[I really cannot believe how much he is changing and growing and how chunky he's getting...he has rolls on his legs and arms! And I really do love the laughs, I think I could listen to him laughing all day long!]
John David had a nice (but busy) first Father’s Day! After church we went out to lunch at Taco Express! He loves it and we haven’t ate there together in months…plus it was not crowded because everybody else took their dad’s to nicer places! We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon before heading back to church to get ready for VBS!
We took some pictures after church just like we did on Mother’s Day! (It is amazing how much he’s changed since then!)
I wrote John David a letter and Paxton and I gave him some money! We appreciate all he does for us! Daddy works hard to take care of us, he takes his lunch every day to help save money, he wants mama to stay home with Paxton and most importantly he loves us very much so he needs a little spending money!!
My love and my little love!!
Our son has found his thumb…this is how I found him this morning! The past 3 days he’s been sucking his thumb…it is very cute but we are trying our best to discourage it! Any recommendations other than taking his thumb out of his mouth and offering him his paci?
We had a good day today! I did a little bit of work and had fun with my 2-month-old! I can’t believe we’ve had him 2 months already! He is becoming so much fun, I love talking to him, especially when he talks back!!
Isn’t he handsome in his plaid shorts and shoes? He went to the nursery again tonight (he went for the first time on Sunday!) He did fabulous (or so I was told)! (We decided that putting him in the nursery early was the best thing, we really don’t want him to have separation anxiety and he really needs to be away from me some since I am with him all day at home!)
We snapped a few 2 month pictures this evening!
Two handsome men!! (Both with heads full of hair!!)
My Little Love!! (John David is Love and Paxton is Little Love!
It’s been a few days since I posted last! We’ve been busy, taking care of a baby and managing a household is hard work but I’m adjusting! (Just forgive the piles of laundry and cluttered living room if you drop in!)
Sunday after church I changed Paxton into this little romper:
I love these rompers! They honestly make dressing my baby boy fun!
Once he was dressed in his cooler clothes, I put his adorable camo sunhat on him and we walked outside to see daddy who was at our neighbors. He enjoyed the walk but not the hat (it was a little big, but it was cute!) We stayed outside (in the shade) about 20 minutes before he got hungry and we came home!
After he ate, we took a nap and had a leisurely Sunday evening!
He’s learned a new trick: blowing bubbles!
And I smiled when I found this picture John David took!! Aren’t my two men handsome?
I have no pictures for Monday and Tuesday! Monday was John David’s day off, we slept in and then he cut the grass while I did some housework and laundry (the laundry seems to be never ending these days!) Monday afternoon we went grocery shopping!
Tuesday was another day of housework and laundry and a little bit of Co-op work for me! I stayed busy all day! Around 6 we had a few of our neighbors over for wings and pizza! John David grilled amazing hot wings and bbq wings and I made a chicken alfredo pizza and a pepperoni pizza! Everything was delicious! After they left we watched the season finale of Chuck and House (which both left us in awe and ready for the fall!)
So, that’s a brief recap of the past few days around here!
