Last Saturday Paxton and I went to visit my parents for 4 days!! I hadn’t been home that many days since college! We arrived around 5:30 Saturday night (just in time for dinner!) We had a wonderful time visiting with my parents, grandparents, sister, aunts and of course Miss Emerson!
Sunday I went to my parents church (I hadn’t been there in over 2 years…since John David works at church we rarely miss a Sunday!) It is amazing that you can be away from a place for so long and go back and it still seems so familiar! We spent part of Monday shopping and then Tuesday Rebekah and I went to a local secondhand store! And after our secondhand shopping we enjoyed Happy Hour at Sonic…a stop we enjoyed while in high school!
A few pictures from our visit (I managed to not get a single picture of Rebekah or me!):
Nannie and Paxton, I love that they have the same expression!
Paxton smiling at his silly granddaddy!
Sweet little cousins! (He is quickly catching up with her!! She was 19 pounds at 1 year and he was 13 at 2 months…I do believe by this Christmas he will be bigger than she is!)
Grandaddy playing Paddy Cake with Emerson and I love Paxton’s expression!!
Emerson is giving Paxton some love…I don’t think he really wants the love!
Loving on Paxton! She just loves “the baby”! Whenever we ask her about the baby she makes her nurturing “lullaby” sound…it really is amazing that a 1 year old has such natural mothering instincts!
We went home Wednesday after lunch, somewhat sad to go but happy we had such a wonderful visit!!
Last week when my family was visiting we took some pictures of the babies together! It wasn’t an easy task but we did manage to get a few adorable shots of them!
Is she not just adorable? Look at that sweet little foot up in the air!! I just love this sweet girl!
Look at his serious little expression! John David had him propped up and he just sat there so content looking the entire time!
When we sat Emerson down she started smiling for the camera…how sweet is that! She smiles so good!!
I love this shot of our sweet boy in his adorable overalls on this old quilt that was his daddy’s when he was a baby!
A glimpse of what happened between the good shots…
Paxton and Emerson in Bum Genius diapers! Paxton is wearing a Small All-in-One and Emerson is wearing a One-Size 3.0 both in Grasshopper!! So precious!!
They both want their mommies to stop taking pictures of them!!
My mom, sister and niece came to visit us on Wednesday afternoon! We hadn’t seen them since they left when Paxton was 4 days old!
Wednesday we just held the babies and enjoyed spending some time together! Thursday we went to town to run some errands, go to Hobby Lobby for scrapbook supplies for Emerson’s scrapbook and birthday party decorations Rebekah is making and pick up some groceries! We were gone about 3 hours but it was long enough to tire out the babies!
Two sweet sleeping little ones! Paxton looks huge in his cars seat…much bigger than a 7 week old!
Aunt Rebekah loving on Paxton!
After a dinner of delicious grilled hamburgers (John David makes amazing hamburgers,) we started scrapbooking and completed several pages! Beka’s goal is to have the scrapbook completed by Emerson’s birthday party on the 19th! She is doing an amazing job so far! I even did a couple pages, I was a little rusty at first since it’s been a few years since I have done any scrapbooking but it quickly came back to me!
We are messy scrapbookers! However it was organized chaos!!
And with 2 dogs running around and an 11 1/2 month old, it was a little slow!
Mom (or Nannie as she is now referred to as, who we don’t have a single picture of) kept little Miss Emerson entertained with Paxton’s farm set and later got her to sleep!
She loved the farm! I just love this picture because of her expression…so cute!!
I enjoyed having the 3 of them here…I just wish they lived closer!
All of our immediate Clark family!
Nannie and Grandaddy and their two grandbabies, Emerson and Paxton!
Emerson giving Paxton some sweet kisses!
My sister and me! When I first saw this picture I thought that it looks like we are holding each others children…she is dark complected with a fair skinned child and I am very fair skinned and have a dark complected baby!
