We had a lovely day! We both slept until after 8 and then Paxton ate, I love our early morning snuggles! After I ate breakfast we headed to town to get a few groceries. We had a wonderful trip to Kroger and Aldi (no unhappy baby or blowouts)! I wore him in my Peanut Shell sling and he was a happy baby!
We also did laundry! I have a really cute laundry helper!
He enjoyed hanging out on the clean clothes!
He laid on the bed and watched me fold, it wasn’t long before he was unfolding them for me!
While I was ironing, I looked over to see him playing with his jammies!
Nothing like snuggling with jammies and sucking a thumb! (He slept until I finished my ironing and then was ready to eat!)
Modeling his new little outfit from his grandmother! So cute!!
He’s such a happy baby!
Hanging out in the big chair!
I had a good day with him by myself but he really didn’t want to be left alone, he likes to see me at all times! Thank goodness for my Moby Wrap, his Bumbo and my arms (which are getting stronger and stronger from carrying around our big boy!)
Tuesday morning he was on his side when I went to greet him in the morning!
I love how relaxed he was! He is always so happy in the mornings (that is until I touch him and he suddenly remembers he is absolutely starving!)
Last night John David held him and he fell asleep in his arms! Precious! I do believe holding your sleeping child is one of the most wonderful things!
So sweet! Lately I’ve been sad about how fast he is growing (which he is!) but he is still so little, he looks really small in his daddy’s arms!
He wasn’t quite asleep, just completely comfy snuggling with Daddy!
Today we reached a big milestone…he mastered the roll! And you know what, it wasn’t captured on film nor was it even witnessed by his parents! I was working when he rolled over!!! Still it was quite exciting, I immediately called John David to celebrate when I discovered our babe on his tummy! (We have seen him roll on our bed and with a little help but he has not yet rolled on the ground…my life is slowly changing as he becomes increasingly mobile!)
After church tonight! We coordinated in green!
He’s kissing mama! (Not really but it looks that way!)
I love this sweet little boy!
So now Paxton is sleeping and I’m tired! Ready to go climb into bed, glad the sheets are clean, a little sad they’re damp (there aren’t but so many hours in a day and laundry comes second at times…)
Paxton is now 4 months old! We’ve had our precious bundle of joy for 1/3 of a year! Wow!
This month’s milestones:
Paxton’s pictures from past months:
We spent this morning playing dress up (otherwise known as the bi-weekly baby clothes sorting!) I am thrilled to share that only one sleeper was too small and everything else still fits! I must admit that I’m happy he’s slowing down a little bit! He’s wearing 6-9 month onesies and rompers and 3-6 months pants right now! He’s been right on track age wise with his bottoms since birth but he’s been wearing “a size up” onesies and rompers because his torso is so long! (I’m hoping his torso growth will slow down and that his legs will get a little longer since they’re still short and that he’ll “even out”! Who knows…)
I took some pictures of the process and I even tried some of his fall clothes on him as I inventoried them (they are too big but he’s got over a month to grow but he’s still cute in the clothes!)
Love his “Mommy Loves Me” outfit from his great grandma! (I thought this onesie was going to be too small since he’s been wearing it about 2 months now but it still fits!!)
Looking absolutely adorable in his white tee and jeans!
Our handsome little dude!
What do you think of his new “do”?
This one is still way too big but it is absolutely precious!! The 9 month Polo shirt is from his grandmother (that she picked up at a yard sale!) His 6-12 month khakis are from Old Navy that I picked up at a thrift store for $3.50 and they look like men’s pants!
New jammies he’s grown into from his great grandma! (These jammies are 6-9 months and it’s hard to believe he can wear them! I remember thinking how big they were when I received them!)
He’s learning to count thanks to his grandpa! One…
Two…
Four…(we’ll tell him later that three is after two and before four!! ha ha!!) I love this outfit so I’m glad there’s still plenty of room in it! Hopefully it will still fit him in October (and hopefully it will cool down enough to wear a thermal onesie and overalls in September!)
Looking like a big boy in his plaid shorts and polo shirt!
Cute little cowboy romper, it’s a little bit but still cute!
When Daddy Dresses Me
by: Paxton
When Daddy dresses me, I look like a man! I wear cool tractor shirts, blue jeans and even get to wear my camo bib (much better than the baby blue cottony stuff mama prefers, although I do admit it is very comfortable!)
When dressed like a man, one must act like a man…no grinning for your silly mama!
Until she says pretty please and reminds me that she is the one who feeds me!
Don’t laugh…I know my grin is cheesy but I’m cute and no, I’m not watching what I eat nor am I exercising. I do think I need to start moving around more, people are beginning to refer to me as chunky and pudgy and solid!
She caught me off guard here, thus the silly face!
Laughing for mama! (I think she really likes it!)
[I really cannot believe how much he is changing and growing and how chunky he's getting...he has rolls on his legs and arms! And I really do love the laughs, I think I could listen to him laughing all day long!]
